Hello, all my swapping friends!

It is a Valentine's Day apron swap.

I should tell you now that this swap is different from the other swaps I have done with you.
This apron swap has a $5 charge.
I know this is different from the ones I have done with you in the past.
The $5 is kind of a swap insurance if you want to call it that. The money goes to help provide fabulous prized and to help cover apron angel expenses. The payment is set up through paypal. If you can't do paypal I can work with you, just contact me and we will figure it out. :o)
Sign-ups run from now till January 9th or until the swap fills up so get your spot now. We can only take a limited number this month and next month.
For more information about the swap check out the new swap blog at Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice!
There are two teams for this swap for sign up and organizational convenience for me and Shawnee. You will all be entered into the same swap regardless of what person you sign up under. The team bit just helps me and Shawnee keep track of people and hopefully cut down on our work loads.

Hot Drinks for Hot Mama's Swap

My dear friend Val is hostessing her first swap right now. She is trying her hand at apron swaps to see if it is something she likes to do.
She is doing a themed swap. The theme is Hot drinks. It looks like so much fun. If you are interested go give her some swapping love and sign up at her blog. You only have until Sept 25 to get in on this fun.
I already picked out my fabric to use somehow.

I got this fabulous piece of fabric from the quilt show I went to in Springfield MO. The fabric is from "Hoodie's Collection" called "Morning Call". There are so many great cooking and chicken related pieces.

My Sassy Summer Apron Attempt
Ok I am just squeaking in here with my Summer Sassy Apron for the Swap. It was a bit of a challenge and of course I couldn't just buy a pattern and make an apron. I and to try designing things and that always has fudge factor and I didn't make a muslin mock up this time. (like I ever do).

I had to have something that screamed summer and my partner likes bright colours (hint) and wanted something modern in the fabric. (I used a new line - to me at least).

Sorry but my little lady doesn't have a back so the picture is a little lumpy. I made bias trim out of the yellow to go around the back, pockets, and hem. The ties are short and should reach around my skinny partner.
I posted it at the post office today with global priority (hint) so if you life out of the US and you haven't got your package and you are skinny and like bright colours, this apron just might be yours. Hee Hee.
I hope my partner likes it and that it fits. It is very hard for Chubby Chikas to make things to fit the skinny chickens.

Sassy Apron Swap - Spring Apron Recieved

I got my apron today!!!
Can you tell I am excited? Bryan took a picture of me in it and then I found these that Robin already took and decided to spare you my fatness.
My partner is Robin of Tallulah Sophie.
She makes beautiful aprons. Go check her sites out and give her some blogging love!
She made me the most wonderful Gardening apron. It is chuck full of pockets. I am always needing more pockets to put things when I am out in the garden.

She also included a Chili recipe, some flower seed packets, a garden angel, and a Tin box bucket.

Sassy Apron Swap - Spring Apron
Well I finished my apron for the Sassy Apron Swap and have it ready to ship off today.
The requirements for the apron were that it must be spring themed, have a pocket, and come with a soup recipe.

My partner is tall and has a liking for Japanese fabric. This apron came from a Japanese apron book my nephew brought back from Osaka for me. The pockets are made from Scrap Kimono fabric from his great Aunt's Kimono shop in Osaka.

I made the apron out of light weight linen. I added the blossoms at the neckline to add a touch of spring.

I hope my partner likes it. :o)
