How brave are you?
I chopped off my braids today! I couldn't stand it one more day.
I cut off a bit more than I planned on and had to have it fixed.
I actually like how it turned out.
To celebrate, I made myself a head band.
You can get instructions here at Pink Chalk Studios, or here at KC Quilts.

Lucy, I never noticed that you had braids......but I'm lovin your new "do"....tres chic!
Are you going to give your braids to "locks of love" for those cancer kids?
Aren't you excited that now you can bust stash in the name of new headbands?
Love you blog, read it everyday. Good to see you.
Susan
very nice!! And the headband if fabulous!! Congratulations!!
Iv'e been battling this same dilemna...to cut or not to cut. I have almost waist length hair. I've grown it for 3 years after doing a big chop. And now 3 years later...I want shorter hair...but I'm too attached to the longness of it...oh the dilemna!!
YOU are much braver than I! And you are very cute with shorter hair!
I love your new 'do' it looks very light and fluffy!!
Congrats! I bet it feels great. :0)
Lucy - great job! I'm proud of you cutting your hair! It really looks nice this way too! I hope you like it - it's cute! Em
Cute flip hairdo! :)
Its a couple hours later and I was inspired by you so I got up off my chair and went and cut off my hair. I blogged it so you could see. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Hey, Lucy, Glad you posted a pic of your new haircut and not just the hair. You look great!
Lil
Oh it is so cute!! I love it!
And your smile is adorable!
Dang it, Lucy, you went and got the haircut I wanted, and it looks better on you than it will on me!
Love the headband and also the comment above with the term "stash busting."
I like the haircut too. I'm never ever going to have long hair, I think. I can't grow it past my shoulders without suddenly chopping it off.
I wish I could wear headbands. My hair is too thin and my head is too flat :( They just slide right off the back of my head.
